Hi folks, i'd like you to meet our new arrival. She's called Stainmore Gypsy Rose and she's CB x ID. She's two yrs old, currently around 15hh and in need of a good feed as you can see. Brian bought her yesterday from a cleveland bay breeder in Cumbria - i've checked out her breeding and she's quite well bred on both sides. She travelled really well, was a little unsure last night (obviously) and today it did take me 20 mins to catch her. I was in no hurry to catch her and she eventually came to me, bless her! :D

As some of you will know I had the chance to buy a coloured colt foal but sadly that didn't work out. So our new fields will now have Kinzzy, Gypsy Rose and Alana's loan pony in. Just enough for the winter.

Here she is................... she's has loads of growing to do!

We haven't got a pet name for her yet, what do you think would suit her? :D

Wow she's gorgeous!! What about Rosie?? Or Rose. Rosie's a bit more informal though.

How big is she expected to make? Sorry to hear that it didn't work out with the foal.

Really lovely, gonna take ages to mature though! she looks that type that will still be growing at 7 hehe. Where did the colour come from? wasn't aware that ID had colour in them and i know CB dont! hehe, she'll make a great Working hunter!

Thanks folks, she's lovely isn't she. Brian noticed her straight away but I took a little more convincing!

Ness - you're right she is a Kissie look alike!!! :D I hadn't made the connection till you said. Yipee - we both have one now!

I'd quite like to call her 'Luna', then when she misbehaves as they all do, we can change her name to Luna-tic!!! :cheekywink:

Her dad is actually a IDxTB and was coloured, hence where she gets the colour from. He has sired quite a few racehorses that have been successful on the track, not that I want her to do that! Eeek!!!

On the cleveland bay side of things, her grandsire is Southbrook Warlord and her granddam is Osberton Rachel!!
I'll keep you all updated on her progress!
