Wonderful weekend! Aberdeenshire Meet!!

After a very long wait, this weekend finally arrived! And now it’s all over. We have had an absolutely fantastic weekend, and have loads of photos of today’s ride, so brace yourself!!

Yesterday Melissa and Cuddie arrived at my house at 6pm, and Horse Mad Mum and Katie Morag at about 7pm. I made a giant revolting macaroni cheese which they all very politely ate, and then we were treated to HMM’s amazing Fudge Cheesecake. Far and away the best cheesecake I have EVER eaten, thanks Amanda!

Melissa went home for the night, and HMM, Katie Morag and Cuddie stayed over at my house. We sat up till 1am drinking wine and talking horses – what a wonderful way to spend an evening!

This morning I set them to work, and got HMM to groom Silver for me. I warned her what a brat he is to groom, so of course he proved me wrong and stood like a little angel for her. I gave Kita a bit of a groom, and then put on her beautiful new pink headcollar, which a very special friend sent me. She looks just stunning in it – hopefully Cuddie will post pics of her modeling it, as she took the photos.

After putting the horses out, we headed off to Corrylair Trekking Centre, to meet up with the others. Jangles and Spockky Boy were already there when we arrived and once we had all met each other, we met our horses.

I was in heavy cob heaven! Every one of us got a lovely coloured cob to ride, and they were all as good as gold.

OMG I look so fat but I had a body warmer on underneath as you can vouch I did not have a second piece of cheesecake .........unlike some, it was a great weekend, thanks so muck Katie Mo for driving ZM and lovely Mr ZM for putting up with us, sorry putting us up, and it was lovely to meet some other ew's. and Melissa I am so glad you loved the cheescake. Will have to plan another trip soon Load of love HMM XXXX

we did indeed i cant believe it was a week ago already all those weeks in the planning and wahta lovely e mail from the riding centre the staff were fab and the ponies very well looked after which is lovely to see they ahd been around at mealtimes but were obviouslt very happy HMM X
