Need London help!!

Right tomorrow I'm going to London and my daddy is driving me in (just over an hour for us) and hes dropping me off in Shadwell so I can go then get the DLR to Bank and then the underground to Euston Station. The place where I am going is Friends House just outside of Euston Station but I'm confused on to what ticket I need to buy and what zones I'm in? :o
Any help would be grateful as I want to get there and just get what I need to get :)

According to peope London also isn't green!? Apparently (so Im told) it is a concrete jungle! :O
