Jasper and Alfie had their jabs last night, Jasper has had a lump come up on his neck where the Jab went in. Just wondered if this was normal as he's never had this before.

Probably me being completely stupid and worrying over nothing. Just with vets bills coming out of my ears, and Jasper finally been given the all clear with his leg. I guess i'm paranoid something else is going to go wrong lol!!

I think it should be fine, it's like when we have an injection, ours is raised. If it hasn't gone down in a couple of days you could call the vet, but I think it should.

It happened to Baby after her jabs once and the vet suggested I give her some bute for the anti-inflammatory properties. It went down after a few days.

Same thing happened after Magic's last jab, he was quite unlike himself for a few days too but i called the vet and all they said was if it hasn't gone in a few days call again. It did go and he picked up pretty quickly after i gave him bute.

some can do, usually nothing to worry about it should go down pretty quickly, its sometimes just a little heamotoma or can be due to the actual jab, its not his first is it so i wouldnt be worried about a reaction if he gets lots of lumps all over then maybe panic a little then

As Emmalou said, it is pretty much the same as what we get. It can be caused from a few different things, however it is usually nothing to worry about.

An anti inflammatory and a painkiller if it is sensetive will usually help, and it should be gone in a few days.

As others have said it is something that can happen but as I know that Chance has real problems when she has her injections I give her Thuja a week before and a week after in her tea so that she doesnt have any adverse effects to the injection. It helps her body to cope with the injection.

Also it depends what type of flu/tetantus injection they are given. We dont allow our vet to inject anything other than Duvaxyn for Chance. They order it in especially for her and we ask for them to inject it into her bum rather than her neck. Taking these precautions seems to have worked for her. She has EMS and I looked into a lot for this condition and also watched Chance very closely. She always had problems round about her injections so we changed the time she had them and the place she has them and we have had a great year with her.

Worth checking their passport and reading the label and see what make it was, if it was different ask to use the one that everything was ok with.
