So in the light of recent events I decided I should probably re-engage on my somewhat abandoned search for a body protector!
I was looking a while ago but since I'm in Japan i was naughty and sort of stopped looking...
Anyway going back to the UK soon so I'm going to get one.
The ones I was looking at on the net were the sort of ones that seem more comfy and lightweight (Rodney Powell ones looked good to me).

Problem is this: where can I find one?
I have absolutely no idea what size I would get (I had one from being 10 years old that still fitted which seemed odd. But I got rid of it anyway cause I wasn't sure) so I'm not going to buy online.
Robinsons is the only place I really know of around the Manchester area, except Decathlon- but thats not very good.
I looked on the website at their body protectors and they've only got 3 or 4, they all seem to be those horrible bulky robocop ones. I had one like that before and I couldn't ride in it.
Does anyone know- do they have a wider range in Robinsons than they display on their site?
Or anywhere else in the Manchester area that has a decent range of BPs?

Go to Robinsons and get someone to fit on too you :) Try loads out and if you can sit on a saddle then do that to see if its comfortable for when your riding :)

Okay so they do have more choice then. Thought they would but just wanted to be sure since its a bit of a blimming treck without a car! Thanks :)

Not sure about Robinsons and which body protectors they have, but I have a race safe one and it is fab. Do you have a chance to go to any big events or agriculteral /county shows when you are back? as you would probably get more choice there.

thanks for the reply
i was looking at the racesafe and champion cobra ones too. im guessing robinsons dont stock them?

re. agricultural shows, honestly, no chance whatsoever. I have no car and I live right in the city centre- only countryside we have is a tree on the roadside! even robinsons is a treck.
