Jumping Spike - mega mega mega pleased!

Ok well I didn't do the XC jumps in the end 'cause these were set up so nicely :P But bwahhh still :lol:

I am so happy with how it went. It was the nicest feeling in the world, being able to canter round and pop over a couple of jumps. I've not been able to do that since Mungo. I really really enjoyed it, Spike is such a nice combination of plod and not plod :lol: He will rush if you let him, but it's easy to stop. You just need to ride him is all :lol:

But I noticed that if things go slightly funny I make weird noises, like "woooooooohhhaa" or "erughhh" :lol:

Anyway, we started out just with two poles on the floor, cantered over them etc to get the striding and all that jazz. Then Megan (who kindly helped me and filmed/photographed! Thank you!) put the back one up to a small X pole. Went over that a couple of times, then put the back one up, then put them both up. But it was hot and he got tired so wasn't picking up his legs properly. I went over a couple more times to get it, but it still wasn't quite right. But I wanted to end it on a good note, so I asked Megan to take the first part down and leave the bigger back part up. And we popped over it no probs :D

Anyway enough of an essay, I could blabber on forever!
