chance encounter

It was our first show of the shows that I help to run. We were rushed off our feet and had over 400 entries on the day. I was there for 12.25 hours and was absolutely shattered by the time I got home.
BCE showed Darli and the classes were massive. She got 2nd BTO which we were chuffed about as a little grey got first and we know how hard it is to keep a grey clean so we were pleased to come second to them. Also in the riding horse there was 14 in the class and Darli was pulled in top of the line. This was his first show of the season and with BCE doing her dissertation and final exams to be fair he hasnt been ridden much so I was delighted to see him sit at the top of the line up after the go round. In his individual he overbent in the diagonal so she was dropped to 3rd place just missing out on the qualifier as it was to the first two which was a shame but being 3rd in a class of 14 was brilliant.
It was a very very exhausting day but Darli was nice and chilled out in a lovely shady stable. It had a straw bed and he isnt stabled on straw but he seemed to enjoy it as he was lying flat out snoring his head off when we went to check on him. He is such a creature of habit and we were so shocked that he settled in the strange stable especially as there was doves in the stable and at one point they were sitting on his bottom!! :)
Sorry no photos as it was just crazy which was a shame as she had on her new Alexander James jacket and she did look very smart. Hope to get some next Monday at our next show.
