i was sold merry as a gypsy x cob

shes starting to fill out a bit now and has most of her summer coat..nearly (a roan and white??) her feathers are long on the leg but don't cover her hooves,a bit on the fore but not at all on her rears.. and i was thinking her head is getting longer and finer, her legs are quite fine to. so.....at 9months (ish) would you say theres another breed in her?

My first thought was NF too. Her face looks NF and she is too fine to be traditional gypsy cob.

Her face is very New Forest-like! There's a 14.2 pony by us who I think is NF x Cob and she looks like him.. Wait and see - I reckon she'll turn out lovely

For some reason I too thought she was some sort of shetland x!!
I don't have a clue about breeds so I don't know, but she is lovely!!!

I do agree with NF, although I think she looks too fine to be a Cob x NF (but then she could fill out lots still!)

wow she looks soo different - agree with BC on this one, gypsy cobs don't really have a particular breeding, just lots of breeds chucked in together - they can come in a very large variety of shapes and sizes for their breed.
