Basically as the title says. I was thinking about doing it at the start of June as there's a clear round day but it's so hard!! I don't want to hurt my boy's legs :o

I'm eventing at the moment - I'm limiting it to two events a month - mainly due to the ground. I've also got some dressage lined up between events which is on grass.
I just read your post about valuing your boy. I should think he'd be fine, he's fit and healthy. The ground is hard but it should be fine for one day, it's repeated concussion that tends to cause problems - i.e. constant pounding on roads. I find it's the ruts, poaching and unevenness that can cause more problems. Equally I think boggy ground can cause more problems due to twists and strains.
Have fun if you decide to go.

Thanks for the advice casper_cb! I am definately going to give it a go next week, it is just clear round xc but we haven't done it in a year and I am pretty inexperienced so it will be nice to go round again with no pressure.
Baron absolutely adores xc although gets very strong so I think he will love going. I will bear in mind what you said about the ground and if it doesn't look so great I will pull out. We have had some rain here today so hopefully a few days of that will help the ground.

I'm entered into my 1st ODE of 2010 and am a bit worried about the ground but I will still do it and just take things steady. They foracast rain this week so I'm hopeing the ground will give a bit by the weekend x
Have fun with your eventing
