Are you keeping your hands low because he's trying to get his head up? Your also dropping your right shoulder during the shoulder in. (possibly collapsing your hip too but cant see from that angle)

He's looking fab!! And don't worry how you look, you've always looked fine on them and tbh considering some of the skinny people with posh fancy horses I know who don't actually do anything with their horses you love and have fun on both of yours and don't use them as a fashion accessory!

Also, go for the test!!! :)

That looks fun! I do the hip collapsing thing too, along with many other bad habits! I think you may need to think about keeping your elbows in the squishy bit between your ribs and your hips (there is most likely a technical term for this, but I dunno).
Your leg position in the one with the bluebells after the shoulder in pics is particularly nice :)

Taran appears to have a similar way of going to Ollie (which isn't suprising given their breed and similarilty!).

Do you find he takes a lot of warming up and settling just to get him to relax and stretch?

Love the fifth photo from the bottom. Yeah it's an unflattering photo of you both, but he's actually working correctly in it. His stomach muscles are tight, he's lifting his back, his neck is relaxed. Fab!

Your legs are making me jealous missy! they are like sticks! ha ha!

He's improved so much recently (as have you!). If he were mine i'd be trying to get him to stretch down more. At the moment he looks like he's bracing against you when he wants to go. I'd do a few sessions riding him with no contact whatsoever, and making him find his own balance instead of rushing and leaning on you, then pick up some really long reins so he has to stretch down to seek a contact. It might ytake a looong time for him to get what you're asking though! He's tracking up nicely, so he's obviously going forward well. He just needs to let you collect that energy now. I do three strides of canter, then back to trot, then another three or four strides of canter, all on a fairly long rein so he isnt relying on you carrying him. It would get him listening and he'll have to collect himself to do all that otherwise he'll fall over! I dont know what you;re doing with your instructor, but keep at it - its working!

He's looking fab Beks and your riding has come on in leaps and bounds. The only thing I would say is that your saddle looks like it's too far forward and could be interfering with his shoulder a bit.
