Pics are in picture section already :)

Not a great day, although Anni was impeccable considering.

I was severely hung over, it was all i could do to stand up and not be sick  Was my uni summer ball last night, got in at 3 and got up again at 7, i couldnt bend down without my head spinning so bandages were left on apart from her white sock which i made sure was still clean

It was rain rain rain rain raining  so she sported the wet look, especially as there seems to be a leak in the trailer and her head was being dripped on!! Poor girl.

Got the catalogue, there were 7 others in the class, and only 2 two yo's...one of which being panz.

I had bought her a halter with a chain lead this time as she had been rearing and being strong...******* good job i did to be honest!!

I was first at the ring, so was walking round calmly...when another bloke comes running into the ring at full pelt with his filly, making wooshy noises and winding it up, he pelted up behind me and poor anni didnt know what had hit her :frown: he did about 3 laps of the ring like this and so did a couple of others who came in after him  absolutely no consideration for the fact that anni was petrified by this and that i could barely hold her...of course the ring gate was still open and the show ground gate was open, and of course in my fragile state anyway i was very nearly very ill!!

So anni by this time was very upset and it was all i could do to hold onto her, she reared once but who can blame her.

She was impeccable on our trot round, esp as aforementioned **** heads were winding thiers up and people stood outside of the ring were flapping their coats at them etc

Only 6 of the 7 entered turned up...which actually mean panz was the only 2yo and it really showed, they were all beefed up and maturer looking. We were originally pulled in 5th but dropped down to 6th after the individual trot up.

So i was quite disheartened but she stood nicely in the line up and for the judge and didnt break into canter once today so i was v pleased with her behaviour. I also didnt run her out as fast as i could have but the ground was so slippy i didnt want to risk it. BUT it is all good experience and she isnt really an inhand welshy...she is a finer ridden type, i think im going to try some show pony classes with her if i can learn to plait nicely!!

I'd also like to point out that i do realise that winding them up makes them show themselves off better blah blah blah but they had absolutely no consideration for the others in the ring and they were all big strong men...i was the only woman in the class!! AND i can get anni to run out and show off without flapping and winding her up so there wasnt really any need!!!!!

More cookies to all who read. Sorry it was long and rambly!!!

I went to a welsh medal show once with my section D, some of the men were awful they proper had them ryled up and i was about only about 10 they kinda scared me a little, my mare didnt do very well the judge said she was lovley but too small, too little knee action and too quiet, i did point out i did dressage and pony clubbed so she needed to be

well done though a good exercise in taking her out its hard showing babies though as some just have them over produced and if your not wanting to get them really over fed then you never do as great, she might do better as a three year old

Im not keen on these Welsh medal shows either. As you know we went to one a few weeks ago and Im not frightened from any horse really and handle them well but I got quite scared at times as the handlers wind the horses up so much that they cant handle them themselves. Next door to us there was a horse who was rocking and rolling the trailer something awful and kicking it. I thought at one point it was going to fall on my horsebox. The horse was wound up something awful and the owners got it out and started whooshing at it. I felt like saying the horse is wound up enough!!

Well done to Anni and you though, it is a lot to cope with and you did very well.

We've got two Welsh medal shows coming up. The only reason I booked Diggi in for them is because they have gelding classes only and the Millcroft Gelding champ which is much better as the fillies and colts always get placed before the geldings. A friend said to me well they are breeding classes which I do see the point but why have geldings in it then if they are breeding classes.
