View Full Version : ok - I have a thing for coloured horses. What do you think of these 3yr olds?

Both 3 years. One is TB X Warmblood, the other is TB X cob but no papers. Wont tell you which is which - what do you think, and any guesses at a price for these guys?
They are possible purchases so any feedback welcome!

first has unusual marking but I prefer second. Id say £2000 (if unbroken and to make over 15h) but they are probably a lot more!

They are a bit more than that you're right! But pictures may be a little deceiving. Both are unbroken (2nd one is backed) but both are around 16hh now so will mature to about 16.2hh I guess!

Much prefer the second one but only because I prefer darker skewbalds!

1st one looks a bit low down on the back end or is that the way the pics took ??? nice looking thou the pair of them x

I like the second one...

I prefer the second. The first one looks very straight over his back with a very low-set neck and a bit sickle-hocked, even on the near-hind. Hard to judge confo on the second but he is prettier!

Not keen on the conf on the first but like the second one.

Love the colour on the first but perfer the 2nd ones head, I think we need more photos

I like the second one - better conf and looks a nicer horse in terms of personality. I'd say he is the cob x as he's chunkier...

The second is the cob x and I prefer him too! Went back to see him again today and going to have him if he passes his vet check! Have to wait fir that now and it isn't until Tuesday as my vets wont travel to see him so I am having to use the sellers vet!

I think conformation wise the second looks better, although photos can be deceiving. I'd say first one about £2000 and the second about £3000.

So glad most people seem to agree with me cos my heart was with the second! He actually looks better conformation wise in the flesh - the photo isn't great, and he moves beautifully.
