Horsey was a lot more settled today and has been allowed out in the field as well! Was quite exciting trying to lead him there but once released behaved very well! Just a couple of better pictures - I am thinking about calling him Hocus (as in Hocus Pocus!) probably Hokie for short!

On his passport it says Ben but he has come over and been passported from Ireland - never actually been called anything poor soul! The dealer I got him from didn't even know what his passport name was so I dont feel too bad about changing it! He certainly doesn't answer to Ben (or anything else as he is too scared! - but is coming round and even groomed me back when I scratched his shoulder today!)

Thankyou for all your lovely comments - I am truly in love!! He is doing brilliantly already. Managed to turn him out yesterday in a small field (one minor incident of feet in my face!!) and caught him with just a carrot. This morning he even had a little 'hello' whicker for me over the stable door and picked up all his feet without kicking, and lead out to the field with no rears! So yes - he's doing great, and I think we will have his complete trust much quicker than I originally thought!!
