View Full Version : Milly at dressage today

Hey all!!

Not had the best week with Milly really - not at all her fault.

She got really upset in a riding lesson on Tuesday night (post in Horse Riding section). I gave her Wednesday off and then rode her on Thursday and she was really unhappy, backing off my leg and not at all like her. All I can think of is that she is sulking following the lesson on Tuesday! Last night my lovely jumping instructor came for our fortnightly lesson. I explained the last few days and she agreed that she wasn't her bright self so suggested leaving the lesson and took me down to the xc field to let her have fun and a good gallop. Milly woke up a little and was jumping well. I wasn't sure if I should take her to dressage today but my jumping instructor thought it would be a good idea.

I wouldn't say she was 100% her normal self but she was moving freely and willingly and we came 2nd.

She is in amazing condition! Rock solid muscle on the hind quarters and topline!

Shame to hear that Tuesday has upset her :( Also I never realised how well she stretches out! Well done on the placing :)

i think it was a good choice after her upset to take it steady on the next trip- and it obviously paid off with a rosser!
