Took Del to another local show. This was his second time out.
The standard was generally higher than the RC show we went to last time. Did 2ft warmup and got eliminated but finished the course. Had two stops at two seperate jumps with fillers and one unlucky refusal because he went to stop and I rode him forward and he jumped but he'd stepped back so was a refusal.
2ft3 was the same course so we did that. I felt more confident because he'd seen the jumps. We had one refusal at a different jump this time. He lost focus because he'd fallen in love with some ponies by the collecting ring by the time I got his attention it was too late!

Identified plenty to work on (mainly flatwork and spooky jumps). He is still over jumping but I'm sure that will fix itself with time and experience.

Constructive crit welcome. However I am aware I should allow more with my hands. I am trying, but in the ring he's rather whizzy and still green so I had to work hard keeping him on route and steady so I forgot to concentrate on my hands:o

Excuse quality, these are photos of pics that my friend gave me

He's not mine. He belongs to a friend, he got sold once and came back branded the 'devil pony', truth was they didn't have a clue. We've reducated him in terms of manners, he came back thinking he ruled the roost!
He showed a talent for jumping so I've been doing a bit with him. This competing lark is new to me! I'm hoping to give him a few more skills in order to give him the chance of a good home. Just need to persuade him that I intend to do showjumping and not point to point, lol!
