View Full Version : Right, finally, some Charlie pics for you!

16th June 2010, 11:49 AM
I've not posted any pics of Charlie for a while, I never seem to have a camera with me! Now i've updated my phone, that's sorted that problem!

Saying that, they are all a bit samey and he's not looking his best as iv'e not done much with him recently and his coat has bleached as any fly rugs i've tried with necks always ends up with me losing half his mane so i've left them off this year and the sprays seem to be working keeping the flies and midges at bay, I might have to re-consider when the horse flies appear though!

Anyhow, enough of my waffle and onto the pics:-

Oh and one of Samson and Duke, looking rather scruffy! I'm still trying to get their foal/winter coats out!

And flight and socks who have just about lost their winter coats:-

Hope you like & thanks for looking. x

How was your ride on Sunday? I agree Charlie is looking as gorgeous as ever and I think he suits his colour, shame about the base of his mane, Vel has that too.
The sec A's have really grown!

I ended up not riding on Sunday as I was feeling a bit worse for wear in the morning as we went out to watch the football the night before and in the afternoon it was raining really heavy and i'd already got soaked walking the dogs! I spent a bit of time pampering him instead! x

He's gorrrgeous! I don't know much about fresians. Is he a traditional type or some other type?

Thanks for your replies and nice comments everyone.

Gem - he's quite the traditional chunky baroque type, they are breeding some alot finer these days which are clased as a more modern type.

Are you planning any showing this year with him?

17th June 2010, 10:17 AM
I was but I don't think I will be now as i'm still helping my Mum after her fall so I'm travelling back and forth to Wales most weekends to look after the ponies, so Charlie has been sidelined, thankfully I have a sharer for him so he's still getting ridden!

There is a local show on the 27th June which I was going to go for but we now can't go, however, there is a bigger one on the 11th July which I might go to but i'll just decide nearer the time. If I do, it will just be in hand as i've not done much schooling with him recently.

How about you and Vel, have you any shows to take him to? x

We will be attending 2 shows this year for sure, one on the 11th Aug and the other is the 27th Aug I think.
We really dont have many shows up here so gotta make the most of the ones we have even though they are small :)
