A year riding Beau again.

I havnt done a post about me riding Beau!

I started riding him again I think it was last year in August time. I never got on him for 2 yrs after I fell off him and lost all my confidence.

At the start I wouldnt go off the lead rein and stayed in a walk holding on to the saddle. I know stupid but I honestly thought he will take off with me.

First time on the lunge again you can tell im nervous lol.

After a while I started on the lunge and then did a bit off the lunge. This was the first time on my own only in walk and trot.

I then started trusting him again and starting to canter and even do little jumpies.

And the biggest achievement doing a show on him. I have never competed another horse apart from Jake and I took Beau round 2ft3 course.

Im so pleased that I am more confident now. I have got videos on my phone jumping about 3ft on him will have to try and get them to show you.

I also rode my friends horse yesterday he is just under 16h.h. only ridden him once then took him out for a hack and he was great I didnt worry once. I also ride a 13.2h.h. for a friend now and then, and I have also got on a 14.3h.h. and jumped him at home and once renting out pauntly cross country.

I know bragging but that was my aim for years to get confident on horses again. Took a while though lol.

Thankyou, it was just all confidence really at the start I was too worried to kick him and just hanged on his mouth. Took a while to learn to relax.

He's beautiful and well done you! I think most of us have patches where we feel a bit shaky, you're an inspiration .. proof that it can all be overcome with time!x
