After Reading the poll (maxi cob) I thought I would ask what you think my Cobbie would be classed as?? (traditional etc)

he's 3yrs and 15.2 just now huge amount of bone, masses of tail and will have masses of mane once it's sorted out and left to grow, he has feather not sure how much as its all muddy!! But again once it's sorted and left to grow

so if someone asked you what he was. What would you say!??

he's still a traditional, however if you hogged and clipped him all out, he would then be classed as a maxi i believe

You can bet your last 1 that he will always be hairy ;)

Well at 15.2 and only just turned 3..there is every chance he may make 16hh

i think maxi's are over 15.2, not sure about rules on clipping etc with them thouhg.
What is classed as a vanner as opposed to a traditional?

there isn't a difference. Other countries no Trady's as Gypsy Vanner cobs. But as we have other cob types which most countries dont have, we have the traditional and modern.

I think he will allways be a traditional but if he got to 16hh you could also call him a drum horse! maybe you could loan him to the army when he's older, they would love him for their displays…so long as he's deaf!
