I thought it might be useful to start a confirmation thread and show pics of different types of confirmation.

Mac: TB - very high withers, well sprung rib cage.

TJ: your guess is as good as mine! - to be honest difficult to say as he changes every time he grows but his neck seems to be set onto his shoulders quite high.

Obviously, he's overweight - probably around a 6 on his body condition score. Under the fat... Slightly upright shoulder that is long, deep and strong; short, strong back; good legs with nice substance and adequate bone; long front toes and short back toes (which we're still working on with our farrier - it's a battle); large hindquarters with a deep loin; overall relatively well proportioned.

His back, shoulders, and hindquarters make him a strong jumper - his toes and weight problems mean he can be a fairly short-strided mover.

I got him critiqued on another American forum that can be quite brutal which is where I found all this

Edited to add: Another obvious thing you can see on him - a very cresty horse!

Let's hope it's only while he's growing or I'm going to have one seriously odd looking pony :p
