New Saddle has arrived!

Yay!! My new saddle has arrived, can't wait to get riding in it. It's a Thorowgood T6 Cob gp, extra wide! His current one isn't wide enough and I feel perched on top and it pushes me back onto the cantle.

I tried a brand new one when my saddler came out and it was lovely to ride in. This one is used off Ebay but in nearly new condition, it saved me about £150.

Pointless post, just had to tell horsey people as my work collegues just don't understand!

Yay how exciting! I got a new saddle in the spring, I love it, can't get over how much easier it is to ride when you have the right saddle for the both of you. x

I am pretty clueless when it comes to saddles, Turk has had the same one for 16 yrs lol.

Do you think Friesians need the wider size in general? Has Charlie always needed a wider fit?

I have the T6 cob :D it's amazing. Only thing I could find fitting!

I have a thorogood saddle too and I love it! Got mine off ebay too and got the saddler out to check it!

Ooh does it have one of these cair systems, i fancy getting one of these for backing Vinnie that way i just have to change the gullet as he widens (providing nothing else changes)

Well I rode in the new saddle at the weekend, it was great! He's always needed a wide saddle, the last one was a Thorowgood Wide dressage saddle but it wuldn't take the x-wide gullet so i'm going to sell that now.

This one doesn't have Cair (think that's the Wintec range) the Thorowgood has the Fish inserts. Both have the changeable gullets though, but it's only the cob range in the Thorowgood make that takes the x wide and xx wide gullets.
