View Full Version : Laube lasor clippers - getting them fixed?

Has anyone with laube lasor clippers found anywhere that will fix them?

A few years ago mine stopped clipping. The blades are sharp (doesn't matter which set of blades I use), the bit that is supposed to drive the blades still drives them, but they don't cut. The blades are snap on ones which don't need tensioning (apparently). Before they stopped working I thought they were running quite hot. I have heard other people have found that these clippers will run yet not clip, and have tried different blades on them, so I think it may be a common problem.

I have contacted a number of companies over the last few years and failed to find anyone who will service and fix these clippers as they are not made any more.

Has anyone got any ideas what might be wrong with them, and how I can fix them myself?
Also, has anyone got any suggestions of how I can test them without risking Tali looking like a total mess?

If I can't get these fixed I may need to replace them now that clipping at our yard has gone up from 30 to 40 since last winter :(
