anyone want to take a guess at what breeding Holly has?

When I first started my part-loan, I asked what breed Holly was purely out of interest and her owner told me she was "a mix of everything, a Heniz 57". I'd like to be able to know more about her than her just being a "pony"! A friend asked what breed Holly was and I just couldn't reply, and it bugged me! So I was wondering if anyone would hazard a guess at what breeding she seems to have, just more for fun than actual fact. I've been thinking Welsh but purely because she's got a really pretty face, but I really have no idea.

Here's a bit about her:
Height: 12.2hh
Colour: Tricoloured
Temperament and other things: Great to handle, very friendly and curious of new people. Loves to canter, very spooky and apprehensive but when in her comfort zone goes beautifully. Lovely paces and never runs out of energy. Loves the company of other horses. Jumps 2ft 3 with ease. Extremely thick mane and forlock (sp?) and constantly hairy coat. Quite stocky, is able to carry 9 stone + with ease. Really good doer, in summer can work well off grass and few extras when in light work. Only shoed on front feet and not on back, which workes well for her.

I thought arab at first too but then i actually think welsh cob x. She has the same shape and set eyes as an exmoor but i dont think she is x'd with an exmoor. I think welsh x possible with arab in there too??

I would say welsh x cob, could also have a bit of new forest in her.

Maybe welsh cob X welsh mountain pony (she is too small to be a welsh sec D). We had a pony who looked very similar on a yard I was at and that was actually welsh mountain X shetland! It had no feather though - I cant see if Holly does or if it has been trimmed. Muffy (the welsh x shetland) had a similar build and was about 12hh.

Too small for arab unless it was really bred down. Welsh has arabian lines, so that's often where the 'look' can come from.

I used to ride a mix bred who was the spitting image of Holly. :) His parents were a welsh mountain x shetland by a welsh B x NF

thanks guys, any more suggestions welcome! Yer I definitely thought Welsh was there somewhere and as for her feather, in the pictures its au natural so she doesn't have huge feathers but does have some :)

And I never thought of Shetland! Could explain why she is a stubborn little woman at times...

I reckon she's got some shetland in her for the colour and fluffy-ness! She also has welsh ears! So I think Welsh x Shetland
