Meet Lord Volcan ^^

[Aoi Miku]

I bought this monkey on the 19th.
His Lordship, as he's known around the yard, has settled in well since. He's had his fair share of spooks but I think he's getting the hang of it lol.

He's Gypsy Cob x New Forest x Thoroughbred.
He's 2 years and 4 months old (and 23 days!), but he's been passed around from pillar to post in his short life.
He should make between 14.2hh to 15.2hh as he's 14.1hh now.

Not dead set on what I want to do with him, I don't think I'll have the memory for Dressage, so probably Jumping and Le Trec for us lol.
He's got his first show on the 13th (I think) of October, just going to do 2 In-Hand classes, the In-Hand Youngstock and the In-Hand Coloured class. I had thought about odd colours but he's not really that odd lol.
Then he'll be ready to compete in jumping in 2011 I should think, since legal competition age is 4.
He definitely has hella personality which can work against me sometimes, but I wouldn't change him.
His only problem is if he does something wrong he thinks your going to leather him. He shakes for about 30mins after, I think someone's really beat him up in the past.
Poor boy =[

It's beyond me too how anyone could deliberately hurt him.

The farrier really liked him. Apparently he'll be a great show jumper O.o I don't think he's ever seen a jump lol.

Awwww!! Look at that face!! I'm almost in tears thinking someone could have hurt him. He's got one of those faces that you couldn't possibly get angry with. I think you should do dressage when he's a big boy. Coloured dressage horses are the way forward :D

I think you should enter him in odd color, he has unusual markings.

Stupid impatient dealers I expect.
Gem, Coloured Dressage is definitely the way forward. If he progresses in it then I won't hesitate to try it out. I've had one successful Dressage pony before so who's to say I can't have another lol ^^

@Smile and Wave:
He got caught up in a harrow (I'm guessing he got the headcollar stuck) in his last home.
The man who owned him before was moving his horses around and two of said horses (V and another one) got caught up.
He had to have the other one put down because it got one of the harrow spikes in it's head =/ Like they, it was curiosity that killed the cat.

Just a wee update:
We had an old WOW saddle from the mare that isn't being ridden anymore and tried it on him.
It's quite heavy but it was a decent fit.
Didn't bat an eyelid at it.
Even when the girth was tightened a bit he just stood there like he'd been having saddles on for years!
I tried to get some video but Mum's phone kept cutting out =/
I got pictures though!
