vinnie - my part bred cleveland bay

after replying on the post about cleveland bays - i was asked by a few people for some pics of vinnie..

hes 2 and a half now.. going thru the horrible chewy biting stage.. :mad: and not good when its a 15.3 horse - yep measured him and hes 15.3..

so here is vinnie growing up so far..

i got him at 8 months old, he stood at 12.3 cute!!!

i have NO idea where that speckly bit came from! everybody said he would go grey looking at that on his nose but its never got any bigger. his breeder came to see him the first summer i had him and said that was unusual too... hes just strange.. :lol:

I can't believe how much better he looks now than he did. He went through a real ugly duckling stage didn't he bless him! But now everything is in the right place and he is beautifully proportioned. Can you tell I like him?

That white splash on his face is cute, looks like he has been in a fight with a white pot of paint lol

Can we have some full shots of him? Is he quite stocky? Are you planning to break him in next summer?

glad you like him - all the vets say hes put together good. hope so - hes going to be my competition pony!!

height wise - he was estimated at 16 hands but he may get bigger..!

i will get some more pics for you - update them.. yeas hes VERY stocky - but thats will be due to shire in him too.

he will only be 3 next year - so no i wont be backing him, i will be starting to lean over him tho and maybe sit on him but in my eyes 3 is too young to ride.
plus i will have Mo to start backing - she will be 4, vinnie will be the year after.. then no more babies!! :sad-no:

People said that about Monty when he was 2, although I found out he has musley muzzle, so can't see it going, which is fine by me :)


I didn't realize you knew his breeder, how did she come across such a mix? How did you come across him?

yeah - got him off the lady who bred him. he was advertised on HM.
she has his mum and his dad was at the same yard.

Vinnies mum was arab x shire - dont ask!!

and his dad was the cleveland bay x TB.

he was estimated to make 16hh, but hes standing at 15.3 now. so i have no idea how big he will get to.

his mum is 15.2hh and dad 16.2.. so any guess to how big - let me know :lol:
