Sweet dreams Turk

My boy is gone, its been the hardest day of my life but I can rest in the comfort that he went peacefully.

The boys were turned out this morning together, it was nice weather so Turk has a good roll without his rug on. Mum then took him for a long in-hand walk and then let him into the garden where the grass is long and lush.

The kids said there goodbyes and gave him a groom and lots of carrots. He has had a great day with the family.

He went very peacefully when it was time, he has been buried in his field in the spot he likes to stand in, we were all there and he was munching on carrots till he got too sleepy to chew.

I cant believe he is gone, he has been part of the family for around 19 years, but I can now take comfort in the fact he will have no more pain, he was ready to leave us and I respected his wishes, he has left us with his dignity intact, I managed to give him the summer I so wanted him to enjoy and he even had a bit of sun on his back this morning which Im so grateful for.

Just want to say thankyou to everyone who has sent texts and messages to me and mum today, ive had a real network of support and I truely dont know how I would have gotten through the day without it.
