There is the most lovely cob at our riding stables called Marley I love him soo much I wish that I had enough money to buy him but I don't.

well on to the story he is a bit iffy with new people and he kicks a bit when someone tries to pick out his hooves but otherwise he is lovely. Kay wants to sell him to this woman who would be perfect for him she wants a hack and to jump a bit and he would love to do that but she hates handling him it's a realy shame I don't know how to convince her because he did kick her once not hard but it really turned her off him.

Now not to sound arrogant but Marley likes me the best at the stables as I schooled him and I always handle him and I love him to bits and I never think he will kick me although in the first month he kicked my leg, arm and kicked my face into the wall but now he picks them up fine for me and I'm the only one he lets pick them out in the stable not tied up :D. She won't believe me that he will get better as you get to know him he's such a lovely horse and if you treat him like he won't do anything he probably won't! She's seen me handle him and how good he is with me but that just makes her think that he has a problem with her! Do you think there is anything I can do to persuade her to get to know him better!

I want her to buy him soo much because that means that he can stay up the yard! I don't want him to go I want him for my mum and dad (and me!)

Yeah he is. He is a lovely cob, he scares me a little but i just sing to him lol.

Did she? She really wants to sell him as he is a lovely boy just needs a rider that will ride him all the time, he is just not cut out for the riding school as he doesnt like loads of different people on him.

Eh, I think if the lady is being pressured into buying a horse she doesn't really want, she won't be as willing to give him the attention he needs/deserves. I was almost pressured into buying a young Friesian I wasn't really convinced of, and turning him down was the best decision in my life.

The right person will come for him in time - one who will enjoy riding him and handling him. Doesn't sound like this lady's the one, unfortunately.

I agree with you flambards if we pressure it will be bad.

This poor boy though he has had loads of people interested in him but they dont like the look of him when the turn up and see him. There is this one woman that really really likes him and would buy him but she is a single mum and just doesnt have the time or money to even share him.

The right person will come along eventually.

If she really wants him, she will buy him, he will get better in time but its if shes willing to put the work in, I think if she truly loved/wanted him there would be a question about it.

Yeah I just don't want him to go I know I can't force her but I want her to atleast give him a chance, although I think she is the kind of person who gets a horse to show off and/or wants something flashy but safe if you know what I mean. Well she's looking at tbs and there is no way she can handle one no offence but she's not good enough really!

if she is going to be worried and scared about handling him its probably best that he doesnt go to her, he could get worse, if he is nervous he may become more nervous if she is worried about handling him, and if he is just naughty casue he is nasty then he may get worse as he may be allowed to get away with it

if you really do want her to have him then maybe tell her you would be willing to help her out a bit just to help her with her confidence with him on the ground and tell her about what to do with him and how to handle him
