I'm having some very bad luck with loan horses. I need company for Bella and just can't afford to buy.

Trelawney came to live with me and was with me for just under 6 months before he started roaring really badly. The vet reccommended he was retired so he went back to his owner.

Walter then came and has been here for 12 weeks. I've been trying to settle him as we have pigs in a nearby field. All the horses are used to them (bella is even happy to go for a walk with Daisy!) but he just keeps getting worse ... to the point that when he heard one yesterday he burst a blood vessell in his eye and we had the vet out. He's going back to his owner as had got worse rather than better and is clearly unhappy :(

I do need something that will carry my weight but other than that I don't exactly have a spec.

I have a huge stable all set and all my winter supplies ... but NOBODY around is loaning the sort of thing I need this year ... AAArrrgghhh!! Just needed to vent!!

do you need something that is ridden? you could try a few charities or something locally, they tend to not have many bigger horses that can be ridden but will have some alright ponies to loan

I'd like something I could ride S&W, my OH likes to plod on bella now and then and it would be nice to be able to supervise!

Yep tried ads wagtail, just nothing near this year unfortunately ... saying that I looked as far as yorkshire and still didn't find anything!!

Where abouts are you in Cornwall?

I have had quite a few customers come in and ask if I knew anyone who would want to
loan their horse, I have even had people ask me if I want to have their horse or know of someone who would want to have one.

I could take their details next time if you want?

Ooooh yes please LM! I'm just outside of St Austell. I keep my horses at home and we're pretty close to Boskell Riding school to give you an idea of location.

As I say, I just need to ensure whatever comes can comfortably carry my at 14 1/2 stone!
