If it goes ahead!!

Thoughts?

Im not convinced he will win...i would LOVE for him to win though but a bit worried AP is too agressive for him.

I would like forpadydeplasterer to do it! I think hes ace!!

Also saw a glimpse of the news this morning and they were saying how AP was to ride kauto...they then showed a clip of a horse being led up...only it wasnt kauto star!! It was a chestnut :pmsl:

Ap's riding style is totally different to the jockeys that have all won on him, Sam, Ruby and Fitzy all have a horseman style while AP will do anything to win, even being over aggressive, and we all know KS is prone to making jumping errors...

The race has been postponed till Monday

Lets just hope the poor horse survives the race after Cheltenham....I wonder how much money he has earn before the greedy owners say enough is enough and retire him?

Not all owners are greedy and his owner is not, Kauto Star is at the prime of his like and PN would retire if he saw fit, racing is not all about money. And what makes you think he would not survive?

It's nothing to do with greed, I hardly think Clive Smith is running Kauto to earn money. He, along with the majority of the racing public want to see if Kauto can do the unthinkable and win the King George 5 times in a row. The horse plainly loves racing, would he have won 2 gold cups, 4 King George's, Betfair Chases, and countless other Grade 1's if he didn't enjoy it?

I was talking about this today, I think Fehily was the best man for the job apart from Ruby, but hey, McCoy is the Champ. If anyone was going to ride my horse I'd chose him!!!

Can't wait to see if when it is eventually run!

His jumping is so full of serious errors, I think it's only a matter of time before they risk him once too often. The fall in the Gold Cup where he landed heavily on his neck (miraculously not breaking it) should have been a wake up call. Sadly, it happens far too often where owners think they can win "just one more".

Now that Noel Fehily is out for 2 months, I think AP will get it, but depends on if he has rides for McManus or not.

Please respect the original poster and stick to their topic (AP McCoy to ride Kauto Star in the King George).

I can't think of any 3m chasers that JP McManus owns that are Gold Cup / King George quality so don't think that he would have to chose which to ride? McManus always lets him ride another horse if it is better than his anyway.

Its ignorant and misinformed comments like that that gives racing a bad name!
