Which supplement did you use for Ferdie?
At the moment we are having to walk him out on the roads for half hour to an hour to warm him up/loosen him up, then are restricted to what we can do in the menage. He is a tb x and feels the cold so don't want to keep him out over the winter

Regular work will probably help if it is arthritis.
My 31/32 year old is on pernamax to ease the lameness and also Projoint [soon switching to NAF Superflex]
It has really helped coupled with the massages

Same here ... also, there was a sign at the top of the page saying 50% extra on ALL supplements ... do you reakon, that as we are getting it half price we won't get 50% extra as well .... think that may be pushing it do you?!
As well as a bargain I like chancing my arm - so I've emailed to ask them that very question - as I can see nowhere on the site that states one offer cancels the other out. I'll let you know what the response is !!!!
I also completed online survey which gives you a £10 voucher and entered the birthday competition !!!

I would recommend Blue Chip Dynamic. (I know I always recommend this, I promise I do not work for Blue Chip!) Its just that both the horses I help with are on this and it has been fantastic.

lol i doubt you would get that special offer unless its from someone with authority...i'd call em up :p
but yea, for joints i cant advise anything other than a supplement with glucosamine. HOWEVER, and i've stated this before, to make sure whatever you do buy it doesnt include 'extract' and in ingredients list the ingredient that actually contains glucosamine isnt with a load of others...that just means they're more than likely fillers.
also, not every form of glucosamine is absorbable, so watch out there as well...be sure to also ask what is the best method for applying the product, because if the company is any good they will actually do their own research.
Now...as far as advice for a winter joint supplement i would advise on Joint Matrix, purely because i know it works. obviouslly i cant provide a hyperlink ^ ^

My old lady was on glucosamine + msm - the equine america one.
Also make sure you keep his back warm while grooming and tacking up - a wooley or fleecy exercise rug might help

Feedmark always have good offers,
Dont forget when the 50% is dropped, you will still be paying the same price!!!
This is why i didnt go for it, as it works out cheaper to pay the one im putting my boys onto next month. :D

cheap usually means its not really all that good lol...especially with glucosamine, as potent levels arent sourced cheap.

we use this at work during the stud season and leading up to it for the stallions, cant say i have ever noticed any difference in suppleness or if they click any less but it is meant to improve the integrity or the sperm and make the membrane of the cell stronger to improve fertility which is why we use it, if it can do that to sperm though im sure it will have benefit to joints

As all the other replies state best products to buy are ones with glucosomine and MSM in them.
I've heard good things about Cortaflex HA, Blue Chip Dymanic and I currently am trying NAF Superflex out with Finn. Last year I had him on Cider Vinegar and Equine America Glucosomine 10000 with MSM but didn't find much difference in the way he goes, although he did keep a very shiney coat so I think the cider vinegar does help but just not in the way you would like it to. I think it depends on the horse and its all trial and error with these things :)

dosage is also something to take into account. depending on how bad the condition is will require more...dpesnt matter what supplement you take. only problem would be to make sure its not harmful to increase the dose, regardless of whether its natural or not, its best to ask about the side effects
