ive not had the best of weeks and got a feeling in the next few its going to get worse.
i have brought a foal which is half brother to my 4 yr old and im soooo exited that he will be coming very soon, but i think i may be loosing my job in the next few weeks and if i do i'll be screwed because wont be able to afford 2 horses, will probably just manage with 1, and i have found out im pregnant so wont be able to find another job because no one will employ me.
so not sure getting this foal is a good idea at the moment as much as i'd like him, he is paid for so he will get delivered but i got a horrid feeling i will have to advertise him straight away, im not a happy girl.
sorry just wanted a moan :(

Oh no! Would the current owners not understand rather than knowing he'll be getting shipped around a bit?

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

thanks for all ur congrats.
i havent spoke to the woman who bread the foal yet, i may see what she says but i dont like to mess her about.
if my job is safe il be fine to have him, having a baby wont make much difference wiv havin a foal cuz its just the day to day care and handling he needs for a few years which im sure i could manage lol.
i just hope it doesnt come down to me not having him :(

where abouts are you? if you really get stuck but dont want to sell (not often you get to have relatives) ill help if i can, he can come here untill your sorted again. Do you have to pay livery for him?

thats a real shame, will you not get some redundancy pay? which may help soften the blow a little
if you want to keep him some studs do offer livery for foals that is much cheaper than most normal yards and he will socialise with foals as well, some horse owners with foals as well may also offfer you some livery cheaper to help keep thier babies company if they only have the one

We haven't see you for ages! Do you still have your colored boy and the shetland?

I would ask the breeder to have I'm back if you can't have him in the end, its better for him to go back there then to be placed around.

thats a really nice offer, i wouldnt want to put on anyone, im in nottingham, not sure how far away you are? if i kept him at my farm it will cost 35pw then bedding etc on top which if im not working paying for 2 at that price just isnt happening esp wiv a baby on way, i wont get redundancy pay either.
ive thought about finding some cheap grazing and turning him out but cuz he is a colt no one in this area will take him, my boyfriends dad has a field which he rents at 13.50pw but he wont take him again cuz he is a colt plus he needs to be in a stable for a while cuz he needs handling, i didnt want to get him cut to soon either cuz i didnt want to take away some of his presents if you know wot i mean.
i will hopefully know more by end of next week about my job.
