when to use a coloured stock?

As the title says really. I often see lovely coloured stocks for sale but when would be correct to wear them? :confused:

I have a navy jacket that I wear with a white stock for sj and dressage and a tweed that I wear with a tie for showing

They are correct with a tweed jacket for hunting, dressage or jumping.

Thankyou. That would give a different option when it is colder. My tweed is a lot thicker than my very lightweight (i.e cheap) navy jacket :)
