Bless him, he travelled really well, got quite hot but had a bath as soon as we got him home (he was stinking!! the water ran off brown!!). I bought a fleece rug at Badminton this year for Ebony, tried it on him this afternoon and it fit perfectly, so we left him in to dry off, in his new rug, with 2 huge haynets... little guy was in heaven! He really deserves a bit of tlc, so that is what he shall get :)
Going to clip him tomorrow afternoon when we get back from hunting (he isn't going, we are taking the other 2 horses) as he is a wooly mammoth at the moment, and may go out for a short ride around the fields to see how he is.
For those who don't know... he's a 7yo 14.3hh black Welsh D, who is with us for the winter to hunt :D
I have a few photos on my phone but will do a before an after post tomorrow when he is clipped, pulled and trimmed... should look much smarter!
So exciting!!
