This weekend Lola has been on her first 'proper' hacks off of the farm, with me riding, 100% relaxed the whole time!
Those of you that dont know I have been wary of hacking Lola after watching a freak accident which resulted in Mum coming off Lola and hurting her back back in April. She is still not back in the saddle as such! Before that I have never been that relaxed hacking, and have only recently started hacking out again on Uva. Now I tell you what that little mare has done so much for me confidence wise as I didnt hesitate about taking Lola out this weekend, and even with some spooks and slight napping from Lola I never at any point felt phased!!! I owe Uva a hell of a lot for that!!
They have only been off road jaunts, but its a start, and its good for Lola to start gentle!!
Oh and we might have had our first gallop too :D Reluctantly on Lola's part- she doesnt like going fast! She is such a laid back relaxed hack! Her only downside is greeness and lack of seeing the world, which in time will improve anyway!!
Am a very happy bunny- I adore Uva even more by the day, and am incredibly proud of what Lola and I have achieved together!!!!
