View Full Version : Very pleased with Misty today

Schooled Misty today, and she went really well. No bucking, and not much neighing for Sandy either. We were almost done, working on a circle in trot when she stumbled, and then crashed right down onto both knees. I shot right down her neck and was face to face with the ground thinking hopefully she won't land on top of me, when she managed to get back up, with me still on board, but sitting on her withers. I thought for sure she would bronc me off, but no, she stood stock still and let me get back into the saddle. She had every opportunity to get me off and she didn't. :D So pleased!!

Yay I sense pics coming along! I'm so pleased to hear this. Do you think you are going to stick it out with her a bit longer now? Seems like shes getting to know you now and the bond is coming through! x

Mica - I don't know, will play it by ear. May also depend on if and when we move, and what livery I can find etc, etc. There seem to be a lot of working livery yards in Norfolk, usually in the pretty hacking areas where the horses are used for trekking. It may be an option as she needs to be worked every day and she is a nice hardy, trekking type.

Thanks. A long way to go yet, but at least we seem to be on the same team now.
