Have been looking after the three ponies whilst BCE has been away in Dublin and because of the carry on with coming home and Darli being in the back field I have moved them up to their other paddock night time only. There is too much grass for them to be on it 24/7 so just doing nights. Anyhow there is no proper fencing in place and it is only electric fencing which Diggi completly ignores!

I tied plastic strips of bag to the electric fencing because Darli doesnt like bags so he doesnt go near it but Diggi isnt frightened from anything. The last two mornings Ive gone over to put them in the bottom paddock and he has been in the middle field the naughty boy. He just looks at me when I tell him off with a cheeky look!

The thing is none of the posts are down and it has three rungs of electric tape its like he is literally putting his feet through the front and then lifting his back feet over too. I have big posts and little posts so that it is in a zig zag but he still gets through. Fortunately Darli stays put as he doesnt like the bags .

So Im disowning him, BCE can sort him out when she comes back, lol!!! He cant go anywhere as it is straight into another field with lots of gates off for the other ponies/horses and Ive been leaving my bottom gate open for his other field so he knows where he can get a drink but he is a little tinker!!! Ive warned everybody else on the yard to make sure and shut the middle gates as he might be out!!

Guessing you don't have your electric fencing on? mine will go straight through it if it isn't on.

Oh the joy of young ponies!!!!! He sounds just like Harvey did actually!!!! I could have quite easily throttled Harvey on many occasions, hence him being named Harvey-Monster!!! But, you could always disown him my way, I'm sure we've got space for him lol!

The electric is on economy so Ive put it up to Fast tonight and so far so good, he managed to stay in for two hours as I checked him last at 8pm and he was still there. Met one of the liveries tonight and she said last night he was out about ten minutes after I had left him and she didnt even let me know!! I only live across the road so would have taken me minutes to put him back in!

Our babies both bust out- Salsa goes over the top and chez squeezes out underneath (despite it being chest high- he just puts his head down low and runs and stretches the rope!!!)

Mine is on, ive been zapped by it and it blinking strong- stronger than any others ive caught by accident!!!

Luckily Uva and Lola stand back and watch the 'babies' with sheer disgust!!

Went and got new batteries today for the big Electric Shepherd energiser so he will get an awful shock if he goes near it. Silly BCE put her finger on one of the wires whilst it was on and was in agony for ages!!! He knows its there as he heard it clicking and stayed well clear!!

Glad you've hopefully got it sorted!

Sovereign just will not stay in with just tape and the plastic poly posts, however tight I do it or however strong the shock theres just too much give in it to stop her. I've seen her go under, through and over whatever she fancies! Luckily our outside fence is a sheep fence with two electric strands at the top and that IS Sovereign proof so not a huge problem that she doesn't stay put, I just have to make sure theres water available in every section cause sometimes she gets in the wrong bit then looks at me like shes stuck and can't get back!
