Mmmm I'm not sure, they are the really loud high pitched ones aren't they? I do a woof whistle very high pitched and they come running.

Most dog whistles humans cant hear. I used to exercise our two gundogs in one of the fields sometimes on a lunch break, who were both trained to dog whistles, and the horses never reacted to it.
Im sure they would hear a lower pitched one that is audible to people, but the inaudible ones i dont think so. Either that or all the horses were used to the sound of it [the horses in the fields next door were our permanant residents, so new ones werent often added!

I wouldn't of thought so.
I think horses upper hearing range is only slightly higher than ours. But dogs can hear sounds up to three times as high pitched as people!! :o

I would have said horses have really good hearing ranges.
