Warning ::(
At yard this morning when a freind turned up to say hi etc, she is at college one night a week and her tutor rides in a village not far from us. Her tutor told her last night about a girl at her yard who was leading her horse up the field the other night to turn out, then said girls partner ran up field then got car abd drove up the ambulance arrived. The horse had spooked and landed on her foot she was wearing FLIP FLOPS she has now had to have third of her foot amputated poor girl.
So please remember no matter how good you think your horse is they can still spook so remember to wear the correct gear.
This was an accident that should never have happened

Ahhh no!! I lost half a little toe a few years back, and I was wearing proper riding boots. Its steel toe caps all the way for me now! Sometimes I wear wellys if im just feeding them or something, but I get really wary of my toes!! Think I might have a slight phobia of injuring them.

That's just daft! but I remeber when i was a kid I used to spend the summer walking the ponies up and down the beach all day so i would get a free ride at the end of the day, in bare feet!

Amputated? OMG how come?

I've had broken toes in the past from being stomped on (whilst wearing riding boots) but that's really bad!

When I attended PC many years ago I remember one of the mums turning up to lead her daughter, she was wearing red stiletto's!
