Had been planning on taking Chubbles to a local county show for the past few months. Have been working up to it and really schooling him better and going to a few more shows regularly. With the weather being the way it is up here I thought it would be cancelled and had it in my head it would be, but they decided to go ahead with it anyway. Yesterday came and the ground was awful so had second thoughts about going. Decided what the hell and got him ready, went to load today and he decided **** you :miffed: Went up to ramp and refused and then legged it round the yard, turning his legs brown at the same time  Did this a few times until we bit the bullet and put him in a chifney and he went in. 1hr and half later :(. Had second thoughts again about going as we were worried incase he wouldn't load going home. Decided to drive by the show field any way where I could see what stage they were at, my class was just starting so had missed it:crying: Went a hack instead, which he was fine with! A bit iffy about loading again but got him in in 5 mins. I don't know what was wrong with him today :( even when we got back to the stable he just stood in the corner eating his hay where he would normall hang out the door looking for some attention :( I also heard there was only 1 person in my class and that they weren't really county show 'quality' and I could've won the class :crying: Oh well.... I'll post some photos of the hack when I get them uploaded.

I know , he's never not loaded before. He had a few spates of it last summer and he's just taking the ****. I was more upset as it's a county show thats down the road and both oh and I had managed to get the day off and I'd spent ages getting him white as he was bogging with the weather!
adamntitch- Yes, the chifney was worth it's weight in gold as when he realises he can through his weight around he can be dangerous. We also used it at the last minute after trying headcollar with rope round nose and bridle. Have bought a controller headcollar for every day use, to make sure he still want through his weight around.

argh, they really do pick their times don't they! Milo always knows when I'm on a short time scale to catch him and ride out before going back to pick up the wee lad, and those are the days he decides to act like a pratt and not be caught. They blinking well know!
