For anyone who has nothing much to post, like me, amongst all the members going to shows and looking for new horses :) I have very little to report so I have started a thread for us boring peeps. :D

Today I snuggled my horse.
Then I picked his feet out.
Took off his raincoat :p.
Tacked up, not forgetting the knee booties.
Went for a little hack round the lanes with Jo and Bella.
Spooked and ran away from a galloping pig.
Untacked.
Another snuggle.
Gave him his dinner.
Felt him all over whilst he ate it :o
Final snuggle and left him in tonight as heavy rain due.

Over to you.

Today I brought Magic in
Took her bug rug off
Picked her feet out
Brushed her
picked a little scab
Brushed her tail and Mane
Scratched her bum
Put a section of hay in her stable
put her in her stable
rode Basil
After riding Basil brought Magic back out of her stable
Took some pics of her
told her she was beautiful
took her back out to the field
led her to the water trough
took her headcollar off
Cheryl gave her a polo...from her hand
Said night night.

And tomorrow will be a bit less as Im off to Lincolnshire show all day:D

Well with Arfur Cheesecake I:

Gave him a hug and bum scratch whilst he was waiting for the farrier
Watched him try it on with said farrier by doing his normal thing of rearing and farrier had a kind word with him and surprisingly was good after that
Then I put him back out and watched him walk like a ponce as he had his new shoes on for the first time
Then later I bought him in a groomed him
Then I had a very productive lesson and was the first person to canter on him whilst hes been back and he thoroughly enjoyed himself to the point he didn't stop :D
Then he got turned back out after lots of cuddles and pats
Then bought him in for dinner and put him to bed (i.e. back in the field )

This morning I went to catch my gorgeous horse in the hot summer sunshine, luckily he still had an immaculate shiny coat so didn't need to be groomed! So then I tacked him up, we went for a plod through luscious fields until we arrived at the beach with golden sands and crystal clear water where we galloped along the shore! His beautiful mane flowing in the wind and my confidence at a million percent high! ...............

Then my Tw@tty alarm goes off at 7.30am and I realise it was ALL a dream! :(

I brought ponio in from the field (she comes to call now, love her) and gave her some snuggles, gave her her dinner and took her clothes off ready for bed. She got a cuddle and left to doze off in her stable. She seems to enjoy coming in a bit more often now which is useful - she needs energy for all her hard work!

hmmm.....

Champ:

Gave him his dinner and watched to make sure he ate his pergolide.
Opened the gate to the third overgrown pen. He didn't notice, but his little shetland friend did. Cue Champ panicing as he had lost his shetland friend.... The grass is that long!!!!

Toffee:
Caught her and got her in for the day
Tried on her new lycra hood for after bathtime
Put her back out
Mucked out

Dina:
Fed her, had cuddles, mucked out, put her out, got her in, had cuddles and told her what a clever girl she is.

Jazmine:
Watched her wind her mother up, had cuddles, put her out, leadrope attached to headcoller for first time today, made comment on her colour, or possible colour should I say, got her in, had cuddles, told her to be nice to her mummy.

I was at work all day :( Left work at 4, and then went up and fed Ferdie and Digby. Changed Ferdie's fly rug (luckily had brought a spare in preperation) as he had shredded the one he was wearing. Sun creamed his nose, had cuddles with them both and then cleared their field!
Headed onto Colby as was supposed to be hacking out with my friend. Got to the yard and it was really windy, so we decided to stay in the school. Groomed, tacked up and rode for 30 mins. Considering how windy it was Colby was incredibly well behaved. Did lots of trotting and had a canter a whole lap round the school so i was very happy :) Fed him and put him back out with lots of pats for being so well behaved :)

Today
I gave him a back scratch
I got up fed and watered
Gave him another back scratch (he likes it)
Gave ham a big pat and kiss
Came to work
Got home tidied his stable
Ironed his rugs
Fed and watered
Gave him lots of cuddles and kisses then went for a ride :cheekywink:
Stroked his back while he went to sleep.

Took Hasty for a spin in the evening. Nagged him all the way out, clung on for grim death all the way home. Jumped some gorse bushes and had a really nice gallop.

In the morning I checked that she hadn't dissolved overnight as it had rained :o  Changed rug, put on fly mask and spray and gave her a carrot.

In the evening brought her in for some hay, picked out her feet and gave her a groom. Gave her lots of extra love and cuddles and had a cry into her neck, as my friend lost her horse yesterday tea time :(

Rugged up and back out for the night counting my blessings x

Went to say hello and sat in the field with her for a bit, while she investigated my pocket
Spotted her trying to eat a golf ball and extracted it from her mouth  (Our yard is in the middle of a golf course and the fence next to the driving range is non-existent).
Picked up about a million golf balls from the field and dumped them in a container
Cleaned tack
Brought her in as it was starting to rain and groomed her
Gave her lots of cuddles and scratches, she pulled lots of funny faces and groomed me back
Tacked her up and had an AMAZING lesson working on getting her to work underneath herself a bit more - polework and a degree of success = fun
Walked her off and hosed her down
Fed her
Put tack and grooming kit away
Told her off for picking a hole in a bag of feed and beginning to consume the contents while I was putting tack away
Told her off for kicking the stable door when she saw me coming to turn her back out
Took her to field and gave her scratches and polos and cuddles

Yesterday i didn't do much at all with mine :(

Went up before work, made them both jump as they didn't recognise the sound of my new car (only got it Friday night). Cuddles and carrots and a slice of hay each in the field. Rushed off to work after a quick check over. After work same as the morning except me & Oscar had lovely kisses & cuddles for ages, Pops declined that offer in favour of hay so i left her to it after a walk around to check she was ok. They have now learnt the sound of my new car & called to me this morning again, yay!

Well I started off by waking up at 4am to pouring rain and a howling gale. I tried to tell myself I have hardy little ponies that don't mind a bit of wind and rain, but I couldn't sleep thinking of them out in it. So I chucked a jacket on over my jammies, and my wellie boots on, and went to get them in. They were so happy to see me! I don't think they would have let me out of the field without them! Went back to bed till 7.
9am they had dried out and the wind had slowed down. Put Sandy's rug on and dragged (literally) them back to the field. Big babies! Went out to say hi and give them a scratch at about lunch, but that's all for today. Still peeing with rain!

Yesterday I went to the barn in my bikini and paddock boots. It was ridiculously hot! I got Domino out, hosed him off for a while to cool off, then let him run around and roll with his buddy. Gave him some treats and brought him back in. It was too hot for anything else!

:D:D

Woke up to a huge thunderstorm this morning so thought I'd give riding a miss (shouldn't complain, we need the rain and it was so close yesterday we needed a storm to break the heat)
Bracken and Derek came galloping in for their measley breakfast of chopped apple and a handful of nuts
Gave them both a cuddle and a scratch
Moved the electric fence a smidge.
Gave Bracken a good groom, including his tail.
Checked him all over for ticks. Just found one on his belly.
Caught and killed 3 flat flys on his bum (yuck)
Picked out his feet.
Derek had a full groom. Got out loads of hair today, but still loads to come.
Checked him for flat flys and ticks. Nothing.
Let them loose to gallop off to the new strip of grass.

i am now officially a part timer at work so more horsey time. so today i wennt and mucked out put the boy on the walker while i did this. made feeds. had a nice groom. pulled his mane while he ate his hay. one of the best things about my boy he is so good in the stable.
left him tucked up in his stable due to torrential rain and the yard owner topping the fields.
this afternoon skipped out hayed and water. tacked up and had a fab schooling session in our jumping saddle as dressage gone to be flocked. lots of walk to canter etc in the hope that we may of cracked flying changes by the end of the summer.
hosed him off rugged up had cuddles told him how fab he was. tucked him in bed and went home. then baked two apple cakes and home made chilli. yummy good day x

I went for a solo hack up the mountain this morning. Kissie did a massive spook and spun round at seeing some chickens just down the lane. Silly mare (she went passed them yesterday with Bambi!) I got her to go past them in the end and she was a saint after that! There is a big herd of wild ponies up there, now lots of foals now. i am a bit worried though, because there wasn't much water in the lttle lake, but I supose they would find a stream somewhere!
Then, I went to bed becauseI am on nights from tonight. Mucked out etc and brought the horses in after school.

Nothing :( !! - GP banned me any contact with them this week - unfortunately Bailey kicked me in the face and back on sunday- spent the afternoon a A&E ! Have a cracking black eye, bruising across my face, three glued cuts, broken rib, muscles in my back keep going into spasm (so so painful) , blood in my urine so GP thinks kidneys had a bash when kicked.
Oh and he stood on my foot!!

To be honest I've been really really lucky, I wasn't wearing a hat as only leading in from the field - he got spooked in the wind and knocked me over before running off - things could have been so much worse.

Whisper got brought in, cuddles and scratches, tried on a bitless bridle and decided it was actually okay, munched her food then more scratches and cuddles before turning back out again.

Bo got brought in, groomed and then I tried to school her in the field. (I say tried as she doesn't see the point in schooling and finds it boring.) After begrudgingly doing a few circles in walk and trot we attempted trotting poles. Bo turned them into jumping poles bouncing over each one before getting bored and telling me so in no uncertain terms by spinning round as fast as possible them galloping flat out towards the gate. No amount of persuasion could get her to go back and attempt more circles so we gave up and had more cuddles and her feed before heading back out to her field.

Not very exciting huh? lol

Finally rode yesterday! Project pony slipped and was off last week, sound by Friday, owner rode him Sunday. He gave me a little "oh nooo, *you're* the one that makes me *work*" in the beginning of the ride--wanted to contort himself into a little ball instead of going forward--but got into it after a few minutes. He was even good with another horse in the ring...it's a very small barn and only about 3 horses get ridden regularly, as a matter of fact this is the first time I've ever ridden with anyone else there and I've been there a year. Arena is big enough that we could just circle rather than passing side by side, since I didn't want to do that until we have a little more reliable forward/straight. Did our work inside, then went in the outdoor to cool out. No idea if he's ever been in that arena, barn owners say not that they know of but I haven't asked his owners/trainer. He was a little looky but very good. If it doesn't rain on Friday we may try doing our whole ride out there. Hopefully he wont have any more incidents this summer, and we'll be able to do more regular rides and get a work ethic installed!

Today I;

Cycled up to the yard, walked up the hill to get the boys in, gave them both a quick brush and pick out feet, had the vet for TJ (goodish news :)), put a bed down in TJs stable and filled his water, gave Mac a good groom and had a cuddle/had a chat with a couple of others at the yard, feed Mac, had my first lying down cuddle with Teej (special moment :D), flysprayed Mac and put him back out, gave Teej half a section of haylage and came home. Then cycled back to the yard, skipped Teej out, gave him fresh water, gave him his bute and tea and had a cuddle and now I'm home again!

I schooled Dougalbug today, a complete no-stirrups session. Need to really sort out my position. Yeah, it went pretty well! He was as high as a kite when I brought him in from the field but was very good when I rode him. (:
