Can anyone help?

We've noticed for the last week qomix isn't weeing properly. Everytime we put his hayledge in he walks about as if he wants to wee but then just dribbles bits out doesn't actually go properly and he's been doing this everytime we put in his food. We're not sure if its a habbit he's got into or whether it could be a water infection and if its worth getting the vet to come take a look. He's well in every other respect, drinking and stuffing his face like there's no tomorrow. We know he doesn't like weeing infront of us so we hid round the back of the stales and he did have a proper wee but then an hour later when we added his food he started the dribbling thing again, he doesn't seem to be in any pain that we can see but I'm a bit concerned as to why he's doing it and have never seen a horse do this kind of thing before. Any ideas guys? Thanks :)

Could he be dehydrated because if the hot weather?
What colour is the wee? If its very dark it could be a sign of a problem. Sometimes if geldings need their sheath cleaning it can be painful for them to "drop" and the "retract" and so affect their ability to wee.

Well it looks normal as far as i know and we give him a good clean at the begining of the week and he strangely really enjoyed it i expected him not to like it for some reason. Im hoping its just silly habbit hes gotten into.

I wonder if its almost an 'excitement' thing.
You say he only does it when food is involved wonder if he just gets over enthusiatic about food and has developed an odd habbit through it?

Yeah it could be,because he is really greedy and does get quite excited over his food.
