Random question but how long do you think it would take to ride 10miles?
Would be at a steady pace, mainly walking with the odd trot or canter. Nothing exciting, just a pleasure ride, not competitive or anything like that.

No chickening out now!!! I've got the day off and Mac is on fat busters in preparation for his meeting with the beautiful Abbey. In all seriousness, I dunno how long it'll take - my guess is a couple of hours.

It used to take us about 1hour 30 mins to do a fun ride - but did a lot of fast work - they are usually about 12 miles.

I'm not wimping out!! Just hoping she is going to be fit enough as been limited with working her due to lammi bouts.
So thinking it'll probably take 2hours isn't stupid? I think she can cope with a 2hour steady ride, so long as she loads

6km an hour is a good fast walk so 16 km/10miles should be about2.5 hours if youe mainly walking

The 'average' horse trots at 6mph. So 10 miles look at 2 hours if mainly trotting

When and where is it? I want to take Neo on a fun ride but most round here are full of optional jumps and I wouldn't want to hold everyone back who I go with so want to go on one where I can just walk and trot.

Not sure.. Vinny did 10km (so about 7 miles) in 37 minutes :)
But the same ride can take us the best part of 3 hours if we're not in a rush and take a swim break and a tea break and so on. So it completely depends.

I usually take around 2 hours with Jakes who is the world's slowest walker but we have quite a few trots and canters and he can't half shift when he wants to!!
