After a great weekend 2 weeks ago we had a week doing not a lot as she had been rested following the show due to her cut, last weekend they went oyut onto the winter grass and she ha totally been stuffing her face even though we have introduced it gradually, more on that later, on monday I went to lunge her and she just wasnt right on her left front leg not lame but not right, so checked her anf found a hot spot on her chest which i treated , on tuesday went to watch my sharer ride her, and same problem, just not happy especially on the bend ion the school, so more treatment , stretching massage etc. she was also sweating after just 5 mins, went back up later that night and she was sweating and looking unhappy so booked vet who came yesterday ( by which point she is much brighter! no sweating) so vet gave her full going over no lameness but she is subtly short in trot on her left side and when i tried to lunge her on the right rein she ran off twice ( I think because it aggravating something on left) so vet advises light work 20 mins max over next 2 weeks, get physio out to chekc for MSK problems, adn call her back she is not keen to give anti inflammatories at the mo, but will post some out if needed. SO now the weight we weight taoped her fpr worming on the 10 of october and she was 440 kg just about right, so checked her yesterday and she was gained 80kg since then omn the winter grass she is truly a pig, so now we are going to cut her turnout down and only give enough hardfeed (a handful so that she can get her supplement) but am seriously considering a grazing muzzle (which she will hate) and I am serously worried she coudl get laminitis, I am shocked at how she has gained it so quickly, but the lack of proper work wont help either.

anybody got any tips advice on what to else to do with the fat haffy am quite gutted as we have worked so hard to get her weight down !
