Felt sick to the stomach when I woke up this morning and decided I was too old to be competing novice young horses lol Yep Sasha was going to her first cross country ever and infact her first competition and first time round loads of horses. She is a good girl and not that spooky etc but didnt know how this would turn out as she can at times be green and insecure. She was a lamb if a little vocal shouting to J who has come back to the real world after his modelling day yesterday (see general chat) I let my friend Liz ride him as her horse is off with an injury and needed some confidence after a few horrible falls lately. so both sash and J were in 2ft, although capable of much bigger wanted an easy first time out as still very green)class justin was first in class and Sash was last out of about 19 horses. it was puring with rain blowing a gale and by time I went on it was like a bog in parts every one was going steady optimum was 5m20 and fastest was 6m 19sec so going very steady. sasha was vocal until first few jummps and we trotted to most letting her canter in striaghts and where she wanted to. she had a look at everything apart from ditches and houses strange horse some she jumped from a stand still but she got the hang of it in the way up the hill and had a good old canter. Dam horse was not even puffing after it just walked back to the box like an old pro. Anyway about fell over when she got a 3rd I about died clever girl. and just like i knew j would not to let Sasha have all the glory he had to go get first lol Cant wait to see the photo think my face will be a picture lol. So happy I could Burst !!!!
