I was just thinking earlier about how lucky I have been with my sharer. I advertised Charlie for share when I moved yards in Jan 2008, thie first person who contacted me viewed him, loved him and turned out to be friends with the yard ownders daughter so I had a recommendation for her also! I instantly liked her and she was great with Charlie, so nearly two years on we're still sharing! What's the longest you have shared for? x

Catg - that's a great time to have been sharing, goes to prove it can work out between owners and sharers! I've read so many stories where it doesn't work out so yours and mine are good examples of when it does! x

Do you mean 2008 Autumn? Anyway, sounds like it works for you. I part-loaned for a year and a half but stopped for various reasons.

Blossie's sharer was with me for 11 months before Blossie died, if she hadn't then she would still be sharing.
I now have a sharer for Bella too (due to uni), she's been with me about a month

I shared Mungo for a year, and if he hadn't been PTS I would definately still be sharing him, and probs would through to Uni at least...Tbh I wonder if I did still have him, I reckon I might even be staying in the area jsut to keep him on share!

I do not officially 'share' but I have been riding Mags since May 2007, which is 2 and a half years. I expected to have bought my own horse by now, but for various reasons I haven't, and now I am so in love with Magsy boy that I don't see me doing it anytime soon. I can't imagine ever not knowing Mags and him being part of my life, certainly not while he still on the go! I don't think his owner would ever take him away from me either, so I am pretty lucky!

I used to share another horse called Ace for almost 3 years & I have been share Mo for 2, again I'm the sharee, not the owner. So in total I've shared for 5 years. I love Mo to bits and it's going to be hard the day I have to give her up.

I shared Arthur for nearly a year and then after saying he would never be sold they did, and all inside a week:(

Then I found Herbie who I've had since August 2008. I think he'll probably be mine forever unless I can't cope with keeping him and my own one.

4 years! No intention of leaving the little man. Ellie, 6 months..would still have her now if that hadn't gone so wrong, people always say its the loaners that you need to be aware of but they clearly haven't met the woman that owns her. x
