Well, had a fantastic day! Started like any normal day, was turned out with Sinead. She's a little porky so I keep her moving about. Then I knew something was up when the Mum that jumps me came up to catch me at lunch time.

I was plaited up and off we went. There was a tannoy, so I knew there was fun to be had. Dressage first, this phase is EASY!! YAWN.......... At the end of the test the car door opened and the judge said something to my Mum and I got lots of pats and the humans all patted me.

Back to the lorry and had a hay break. Then SJ. This phase is easy but it's equally easy to go through the fences. Decided today I'd appease the humans, I only have to step over them BUT........... Parrots, parrots under the fence!! WHAT!!! Managed to jump in but there were two parts and I was not going to risk the wider parrot fence. I did try to kill them, destroyed the fence and knocked everything on top of them tried to squish them. 2nd attempt, no it was not safe did jumping Mum not understand!?! No she persisted, this time, god knows where it came from, there was a lion on my back that roared and I decided the parrots were less scary than this lion so I leapt over them. There were no more scary parrots and I popped over the rest neatly & clear. Humans seemed happy with me so all was OK. Something about 20 penalties and lots of time faults but all at one fence, best I've ever jumped otherwise :D.

Then I was hardly back at the lorry when I was turned around again for XC. Off we go, get there only 2 others in there, PERFECT will be my time soon. LOVE XC. So the two go, Mum takes me over then turns me away. :( This happens time and time again. (*I was flipping furious, other riders had sent runners over to put their names down to go XC but had not got over to the start, the steward would not let me go even though I was ready, Woody was getting more and more wound up.*) Finally I was allowed to go, it was well past tea time! 6.30pm. Jumped perfectly, showed Mum how fab I am. BUT something went wrong, I jumped into a double and the sand ate my legs, tried to jump out but had no footing and lost my legs and fell over. :o Most embarrassing. Mum went splat BANG then turned into the Michelin man (*I have a point 2*) Well her bad, she was too slow so I continued by myself.

So off I go, found what looked like a steeple chase track, in fact it was!! A perfect race track. :D:D So what was to be done, back to the lorry for some hay or a chance to gallop on a perfectly prepared course. The race course of course!! Zoom Zoom Zoooooooooooom. I went the whole way round, wind in my hair, lots of noise coming from the control tower, kept saying my name reporting where I was, keeping the humans updated on my progress. I was super fast.

Got the finish and the humans had barricaded the track so I pulled up. Spotted my mother, she was a bit red at this point, in fact got to say though I'm fast she's pretty fast too to have to to the finish from where I left her. She did not look cross to jogged up to her and got some pats and my girth loosened. There was not a scratch on me.

So all in all a FANTASTIC day.

Zoom zoooommm zooooooooooooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmm!! :D

 Well, if all else fails, he could be an overgrown pony racer! Sounds eventful (no pun intended). Hope you're not too sore (either of you!) after your fall!
