For those of you who have fenced off a section of your field for riding in what size is it? When we move im wanting to fence of part of the field mainly for Megan to have somewhere secure to be off the lead rein just wondering on what size would be best.

I've just fenced of an 18m diameter circle for now. I'm not riding of course, but it's a useful size to do join up with Kita, and safely small for Sam to ride in. Only used it once and it's already muddy ... :(

ive fenced off a 40x20m ring- the smallest a dressage arena would be, and the smallest recommended side
Ive also got a 20m diametre round ring too for joinup type exercises- groundwork really

Ours is 20 x 30. Its big enough to get 2 jumps down the long side or across the diagonal. If we had bigger horses it'd be too small, but the biggest one at our yard is 15.2, and most are under 14.2. My daughter's 11h pony looks lost in it!
