:D:D:D:D:D
After a few lost auctions on ebay I finally won a treeless saddle on Tuesday morning. I think it must've been fate because it's the best one I could've ended up with. It looks like a 'normal' saddle which is great as I can use it for shows etc.

It's the most beautiful soft black leather and has a very well padded seat and knee rolls. Obviously I haven't tried it on Saffy yet but I'll be arranging to go see her asap. It seems very flexible so should mold to her back nicely. If it doesn't...well then I'll papier-mache her back until it ****** well does!!! I'm over the moon. I've never been able to afford any tack that's made me think 'wow'. It's always been fine for the horse but nothing special. I can't believe I have this beautiful saddle sat in my living room now!! My life is so amazing at the moment :D

And the best bit? Was less than £200 delivered!!! Will report back on how it is.

(It only looks wonky because of the chair it's on. I've poked and prodded it and it's absolutely perfect!)

It really does look just like a regular tree'd saddle.

Good luck with it and remember to get lots of pics with her modelling it :D

Make sure you get lots of photos of her in it! Bet she'll love it. Do you know what make it is?

Thanks :D It's an Easytrek one. They do ones that look more like normal treeless ones but I was on a strict budget so ideally wanted one I could show in too. They don't really seem to be a big make either but I've read some good reviews on them and seeing it 'in person', I'm thrilled with it. I can't believe I own such a beautiful saddle :D I keep smelling it

That's lovely - not everybody likes the appearance of traditional treeless, but you seem to have the best of both worlds there. What make is it?

That looks brill!
The one I ride in is completely flat underneth, doesn't have the normal groove bit (what ever that's called). Didn't realise they could come looking that good.

Mine were classed as traditional treeless saddles, very much like your one.

Looks nice, hope it fits.

I've bought a special pad but I'm not sure I'll need it now looking at the shape of the saddle. I'll have a look when I get it on her though. I can't see why I wouldn't be able to use a normal girth either, what with the shape of it, but I'm getting a cheap dressage girth too just in case. I suppose that'd give her a bit more shoulder freedom too. So excited about trying it!

When I first saw it I thought OMG, that's the saddle I sold on ebay a month or so ago but mine definitely wasn't treeless

But when I saw the pic of it opened up I realised it wasn't...phew :)

This was my saddle, it is black not brown.

 Wow they really are similar aren't they?! The padding is identical! The cantle on mine is pretty high up though and obviously the colour :) Ahh I can't stop staring at it!! I made Ross sit down and put it on his knee last night so I could sit on it - it's soooo comfy!! My easytrek saddle pad arrived this morning too. Black and white, very smart! Argh I want her back NOW!! Impatient!

Keep us informed about how you get on with it as I'm considering buying a treeless saddle for Baby and definitely want it to look 'traditional' :)
