Hi everyone, did a sponsored ride a couple of weeks back which was really good fun. My OH was not sure about me jumping as I have only had two jump lessons so far, but my boy felt great and I was relaxed. So I did some of the smaller ones, here is a piccie.

Nice piccy, was it a good day? I used to enjoy doing sponsored rides (except for the fact that Blue can quite happily jog 10 miles).

Thanks for all the replies, it was a good day and really enjoyed it. We have another one on Oct 4th, hope that will be as good. So far I have found them to be a good way of getting mixed experience having only been riding 8 months, how lucky am I to have found such a great horse..............he really looks after me. Even after a jump in the school he goes straight towards the boards waiting for me to tell him which way to go, such a lovely boy.

If you think that's a little jump for someone who has only had a couple of jumps before, i can't wait to see the pics of you jumping 8 ft walls lol!!
He looks a lovely handsome chap!!

My OH has had prob less than 10 lessons and he's always so confident with things that I'm far more cautious of! We have a great male instructor though who understands this and has got him cantering round the 2'3" xc course at Poplar Park already! We just need to find a suitable horse for him now so he can practise at home!
Your horse looks lovely, glad he's looking after you and helping you learn, sounds a great sort

Kevin you jump that after only 2 lessons???? Blimey, well done. I've had quite a few lessons and still don't have the nerve to jump anything over a 2ft pole!
