chance encounter

Took Darli out to his second show of the season due to BCE's broken ankle.
We had a bit of a start to the morning though as I live on a single track lane and on my side of the road there is no laybys. I was driving down and some nutter in a car sped past their layby not stopping and just kept driving towards me. I had to brake that quick that Darli nearly fell over and the stuff came out of the cupboards. She point blank reversed to reverse her car back to the layby which I was absolutely furious about and having no choice I had to reverse a 7.5t horsebox up a single track lane with huge hedges either side. I was so angry I was shaking!
Anyhow we got going and we were going to a show down the M6 but when we got to the exit it was closed to go south so could only go North. Fortunately we took Sally the sat nav with us and the Equitrader and quickly found another show to go to as we were frightened if we turned at the next exit that the M6 would be closed completely and we wouldnt get to a show at all.
Finally got there and Darli & BCE got 1st in 14.2hh and over hunter, 14.2hh and over showing and equitation. Was delighted with the equitation as she still cant ride properly as she cant put any weight on her foot in the stirrup that the ankle was broken in and has to do rising trot from her knees, lol!!
So all in all had a lovely day, weather was beautiful and we are just happy to be out showing again!!
