View Full Version : Never knew bits could be so expensive!!

I've just ordered a £70 bit for Bailey!!!! OH approved it suprisingly!
I know I didn't have to spend that much but I've bought the bit he had with his last owner and it seemed to suit him. I'm sure I could have got something similar a lot cheaper but then if he hadn't been happy with it I might have ended up trying more bits and spent that much anyway!
So in case you're interested it's the Myler comfort snaffle - who would think a lump of metal could cost that much !!

I love myler bits. Apache has his since they very first arrived in the UK as I was told about them by an instructor who saw them in the US and I wouldn't ride Tibbs in anything else. When I bought them for Tibb's/Angel/Poppet I did some shopping around and found the comfort barrel snaffle online for just under £50 but it was a while ago I bought them so might have increased in price since then.

It's the Myler Comfort Snaffle, 5" - there are a couple of other people who have them at the yard too actually, they saw mine and mentioned it.

Mylers are lovely bits. I used to ride a horse for someone with more money than sense in Dubai so obviously the neddy had all the modcons :D I love how much you feel like you can feel their mouths. Luckily Saf is happy with her happy mouth (fancy that) but if I had the money I'd def have a Myler!
